Vodafone Recruits Boy Soda & A Snake To Introduce The iPhone 18 Pro & Pro Max Via Howatson+Company

Vodafone has launched ‘A Very Possibly True Story’, to introduce the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, retelling a night-out that gets more unbelievable every time it’s retold.

The campaign by Howatson+Company, follows Mo, a rideshare driver, recounting to his mate, Tee an increasingly wild night that started with a pickup delivery and ended with Sydney-based, ARIA award winning R&B singer songwriter Boy Soda, a snake and a new best friend.

It’s the kind of story that gets bigger every time it’s told, but even Tee has to admit, it’s not the snake or the celebrity cameo that stops her in her tracks, it’s the iPhone 18 Pro.

The campaign is built around the new features on iPhone 18 Pro. Boy Soda puts the 48MP Fusion camera’s variable aperture to work in low light, capturing the moment Mo’s night escalates with a snake wrapped around his neck mid-recording of a new song.

Vodafone’s supercharged 5G network carries the story from Mo on a city rooftop to Tee at a country petrol station, while the phone’s battery gets a nod as the night runs from sundown to sunrise, up to 34 hours on iPhone 18 Pro and 43 hours on iPhone 18 Pro Max.

Lisa Cronin, head of brand and marketing at Vodafone said: “This campaign is about proving the iPhone 18 Pro can keep up with a big night out. The camera, the battery and the Vodafone 5G network are all put to the test across one long night, because that’s when people need their phone to perform.

“Now with Vodafone more than doubling its network coverage, Australians can experience the best of the iPhone 18 Pro from wherever they are. And with savings of up to $1,800 when customers trade in and stay connected over 36 months, there’s never been a better time to upgrade.”

Richard Shaw, chief creative officer, Howatson+Company added: “We’ve all got a mate like Mo, the one who regales you with the story of a night out and you sit and wonder what is fact or fiction.

This felt like a perfect set-up to deliver the excitement of the new iPhone 18. No matter how big the night gets, the fact you did it all with a new iPhone 18 on the Vodafone network is the biggest story of all.”

The campaign is running across TV, BVOD, Social and OOH.
