Vegemite Popcorn Hits Cinemas In Collaboration With Village Entertainment

Australian cinema and entertainment group Village Entertainment has today announced a collaboration between Village and Event Cinemas and Vegemite.

Village & Event Cinemas is the exclusive home to a brand new Vegemite flavour for Chef’s Gourmet Premium Popcorn coming to theatres today.

The new snack is now available for a limited time at the Candy Bar at Village Cinemas and Event Cinemas under the Chef’s Gourmet and Parlour Lane brands respectively.

Matt Gray, marketing manager at Vegemite, said: “We are ‘mitey’ excited to be partnering with our good friends at Village Cinemas and Event Cinemas to deliver an Aussie take on a cinema classic.

“Vegemite loves popping up in new and exciting places, and we can’t wait to spread the love with a popcorn that truly tastes like Australia. The combination tastes delicious and we’re excited for our fans to try it.”

Mo Bhargava, general manager of sales and marketing at Village Entertainment, said: “Popcorn remains the number one movie going snack for our customers, and we, alongside our partners at Event Cinemas, are delighted to be able to offer such innovation within our Gourmet Popcorn flavour range in partnership with Vegemite.”

“Our Chef’s Gourmet Premium Popcorn is a real treat for cinema goers with a variety of sweet flavours including Rocky Road, Raspberry & White Chocolate, and Salted Caramel.

“We wanted to expand on our traditional savoury offering of buttered popcorn and couldn’t look past one of butter’s best companions – Vegemite.”
