From 25 November, Moonlight Cinema will return for its 31st season in five of the country’s most beautiful parklands and gardens.

In partnership with EVT and Event Cinemas, Val Morgan Cinema is gearing up for a sensational summer of movies under the stars, with a new suite of brand partnerships for Moonlight Cinema across Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane.

This season will showcase Focker-In-Law, The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, Verity, Wicker and Sense and Sensibility, alongside nostalgic seasonal favourites such as Home Alone, The Holiday, 10 Things I Hate About You, Notting Hill and Elf.

“Moonlight Cinema gives brands something hard to find: a relaxed, engaged audience for a full evening. Gates open 90 minutes before every film, so the night is built around connection and our partners are part of it from golden hour to the final credits, whether on screen, on the menu, in our premium seating experiences or through sampling,” said Clare Whiteman, general manager group partnerships at EVT.

“Our brand partners are woven into that experience, connecting with guests across the country who are settled in for hours at a time. As we head into our 31st season, we’re excited to give even more brands the chance to be part of one of the biggest nights out on the Australian summer calendar.”

To help brands shine as brightly as the season itself, Val Morgan Cinema offers a full constellation of amplification opportunities for 2026-27, scalable to suit any level of investment, coverage and interaction.

Moonlight Cinema has endless opportunities for brands to embed themselves across the whole customer journey, from digital touchpoints leading up to the cinema experience, to high-impact on-screen creative, themed programming moments, ticketed experience naming rights, menu integration and immersive activations.

“Moonlight has earned its place as the most iconic Australian summer experience, and every year we see brands get more ambitious about how they show up within it,” said Paul MacGregor, strategy and marketing director at Val Morgan.

“Whether that’s on-screen exposure, hands-on sampling or a full-scale activation, Moonlight gives advertisers a platform to connect with a highly engaged, hard-to-reach audience and turn attention into meaningful action – proving that when it comes to partnership possibilities, the moon really is the limit.”

Moonlight Cinema is also backed by EVT’s marketing and PR support, helping brands extend beyond the parklands through broader marketing and PR amplification. This season, national activity runs across Event Cinemas screens, Cinebuzz member communications, paid digital, radio, PR and influencer partnerships.
