Target customers are now able to access a curated range of fashion, home and everyday essentials through Uber Eats, as Target extends its online offer to give customers faster, more flexible ways to shop its products, with delivery expected within 60 minutes.
The launch makes Target the first fashion retailer in Australia to join the Uber Eats platform and marks another milestone in the retailer’s focus on building a stronger omnichannel experience, connecting digital convenience with the strength of its store network.
Customers will be able to shop more than 25,000 products across fashion, beauty, homewares, toys and baby through the Uber Eats app.
The partnership extends Target’s online offer in time for the Christmas shopping period, with the first phase launching through selected stores in high-demand areas before expanding to additional participating stores in the new year.
By connecting the convenience of digital shopping with Target’s extensive store network, the partnership will give customers more choice in how quickly and easily they receive the products they need.
Bernard Wilson, chief customer officer Kmart and Target, said the launch reflects Target’s focus on making shopping easier for Australian families.
“Customers are looking for more ease and flexibility than ever before, and our focus is on building an online offer that works around them, whether they’re planning ahead or need something quickly,” said Wilson.
“We’ve spent 100 years helping Australians access products they’ll love at great value. This partnership is another way we’re making it easier for customers to shop with Target, wherever and whenever it suits them.
“Whether it’s a last-minute birthday present, something for the home or an everyday essential, this partnership gives customers another convenient way to access Target’s great style, quality and value.”
The launch is another step in making Target’s apparel and broader product offer more accessible to customers, giving them greater choice in how and where they shop. It builds on Target’s growing digital presence, with customers already able to shop Target apparel through Kmart’s digital ecosystem as well as Target’s own website.
The partnership is designed to give customers more choice, flexibility and convenience in how they shop, with further opportunities to provide customers with even more valuable experiences to be explored over time.
Lucas Groeneveld, managing director of Uber Eats Australia and New Zealand, said the partnership brings an exciting new retail category to Uber Eats customers.
“We’re excited to welcome Target to Uber Eats, giving Australians access to more than 25,000 products, with delivery expected within 60 minutes,” commented Groeneveld.
“Customers increasingly expect to be able to get what they need without planning days ahead. Bringing Target onto Uber Eats means more of those everyday needs can arrive at their door in under an hour, making on-demand delivery useful for even more moments in their day.”
