Living, dining and alfresco week had a scary start on The Block, with House 1 plasterer Hayden being rushed away in an ambulance after presenting with a dangerously elevated heart rate.
The scare cast a shadow over the build as contestant tried to push on with their alfresco spaces. The program came in third with a Total TV National Reach of 1,955,000 and a Total TV National Average Audience of 1,078,000.
Seven’s The Voice drew blood on the judging panel as the final round of blind auditions wrapped for this season. Ronan Keating, Melanie C, Kate Miller-Heidke and Richard Marx all clashed over Tone and I’s hidden judging powers allowing the musicians to rescue artists that has previously not turned any chairs questioning fairness to other contestants who didn’t make it through. The episode had a national reach of 1,735,000 and an average audience of 965,000.
The quiz shows were back in full force with Nine’s format Tipping Point Australia boasting a national reach of 1,568,000 with an average audience of 849,000. Seven’s rival format The Chase Australia has a national reach of 1,367,000 and an average audience of 675,000.
Long-running Australian soap opera, Home and Away came in between of the two quiz shows with a national reach of 1,513,000 and an average audience of 1,005,000.
ABC marked a milestone with the 30th anniversary of Australian Story. To celebrate the landmark with Leigh Sales hosting a 70 minute special filmed in front of a sold out crowd at the Sydney Opera House. It had a national reach of 1,283,000 and an average audience of 704,000.
Ten’s Have You Been Paying Attention? landed in twelfth with a national reach of 1,077,000 and an average audience of 679,000. The episode featured regulars including Mick Molloy, Melania Bracewell, Alex Ward, Ed Kavalee and Sam Pang with guest quizmaster Krissy Marsh.
