Seven’s My Kitchen Rules has taken out third place in Tuesday’s TV ratings, as Alisha and Deanne branded a rival team’s dumpling entree an “absolute disaster”.
The episode pulled a national total TV average audience of 1.086 million, reaching 1.83 million viewers, with a further 224,000 watching via BVOD.
In the episode, best mates Angus and Simon served duck and shiitake mushroom dumplings with orange and anise sauce for their entree, but the dish failed to impress Alisha and Deanne.
The pair initially described the dumplings as “something that looks like you’d order at a restaurant”, but their verdict soon turned sour, labelling the entree an “absolute disaster”.
Angus and Simon had said they felt “really good about the entree”, explaining they had taken their time with the preparation and considered what the food meant to them. However, the effort did not translate into universal approval at the dinner table.
Outside the kitchen, Seven’s Home And Away was another strong performer, ranking fourth overall with an average audience of 973,000 and a total reach of 1.43 million.
