Quiz and game shows are back on top of ratings, with Nine formats Tipping Point Australia and The Hundred With Andy Lee performing the best overnight.
Nine’s Tipping Point Australia was the strongest performer last night, pulling in a Total TV National Reach of 1,515,000 and a National TV Average Audience of 836,000, making it the night’s biggest entertainment draw.
The Hundred With Andy Lee landed close behind in fifth with a national reach of 1,423,000 and an average audience of 641,000. Last night’s episode featured guest panelists Mike Goldstein, Nina Oyama and Ross Noble.
Seven’s The Chase Australia wasn’t far behind in sixth with a national reach of 1,380,000 and an average audience of 691,000, edging out The Hundred With Andy Lee on average audience.
Ten’s MasterChef Australia came in ninth with a national reach of 1,183,000 and an average audience of 725,000, as the Top 5 tackled an immunity challenge built around Andy Allen’s BBQ lamb, burnt eggplant cream and braised borlotti beans. The winning cook progressing straight to the Top 4. Aaron, Petro, Vinnie, Casper remain in contention with Annabel winning the challenge, progressing into the next round.
Seven’s First Dates Australia attracted a national reach of 1,102,000 and an average audience of 502,000 for an episode featuring MAFS alum Mel taking another shot at love with Ross.
On ABC, Kitchen Cabinet returned for its eight season with a national reach of 854,000 and an average audience of 622,000 as host Annabel Crabb kicked off a run of visits with members of the 48th Parliament. The season opener saw Crabb cook with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese at The Lodge, with Albo reflecting on his three decades in federal politics, the positions he’s shifted on, and the day in politics he’d least like to relive.
