Game and quiz shows continued their hold on Aussie television last night, with Tipping Point Australia, The Chase and The Hundred with Andy Lee all cracking the top ten.
Tipping Point Australia was the Tuesday night’s dominant entertainment program, with a Total TV National Reach of 1,605,000 and a Total TV National Average Audience of 876,000 to land in third.
Seven’s The Chase Australia landed in fifth with a National Reach of 1,479,000 and an Average Audience of 767,000.
Nine’s The Hundred with Andy Lee rounded out the quiz show trifecta in seventh, with a National Reach of 1,351,000 and an Average Audience of 620,000.
Over on Seven, My Reno Rules delivered the drama. The construction competition show landed in eighth with a National Reach of 1,249,000 and an Average Audience of 596,000.
Mother-daughter duo Emma and Michelle pulled off an unexpected leader board reversal, scoring 29 out of 30 to claim the $10,000 cash bonus. Yes, this is the same mother-daughter duo that threatened to walk off the show last week.
Mitch and Shaz weren’t so lucky. They came in last place after judges tore apart their kitchen, dining room and pantry reveal.
MasterChef Australia’s Fusion Invention Test landed in eleventh for Network 10. It had a National Reach of 1,057,000 and an Average Audience of 630,000.
Contestants were tasked with merging two cuisines into a cohesive dish. Those who fell short were sent straight to tonight’s Pressure Test, including fan favourite Jackie.
Shaun Micallef’s Going For Broke landed thirteenth on the ABC with a National Reach of 978,000 and an Average Audience of 542,000.
The three-part documentary series examined Australia’s love for gambling. Micallef travelled the country to meet punters, industry insiders, and those affected by addiction.
