Home and Away proved the weeknight staple still has pulling power last night, with a total TV national reach of 1,131,000 and one of the strongest BVOD numbers of the night (174,000).
After three years of heartbreak and healing Dr Bree Cameron (Juliet Godwin) finally said farewell to Summer Bay in last nights episode.
Bree’s exit marks the end of one of the show’s most emotionally charged arcs, from the moment she arrived as the easy-going new doctor with a secret past, to the shocking revelation of her abusive marriage to Jacob and his eventual death at her hands.
What began as a tale of survival evolved into a journey of rediscovery, as Bree rebuilt her life and career while navigating a complicated, on-again-off-again relationship with Remi.
In her final episode, Bree decides to take control of her future once and for all, accepting a long-awaited role with Doctors Without Borders.
Despite Remi’s plea for her to stay, she leaves, telling him she needs to live “my life on my terms.”
