Tuesday TV Wrap: Spluttering Ninja Still Enough To Get Nine To The Buzzer

Australian Ninja Warrior might be well down on its triumphant numbers of 2017, but it’s still doing the business for broadcaster Nine.

Last night’s Ninja managed 817,000 viewers, but that was still half of what the same episode managed this time last year (1.674 million).

Adding to that, it still got beat by MasterChef with its 821,000 viewers.

Still, Nine won Tuesday night with 31 per cent of the eyeballs. Seven was second with 27 per cent, Ten had 18.8 per cent, ABC pulled 16.1 per cent and SBS managed 7.1 per cent.

Seven’s 6pm news bulletin (1.122 million) was the most watched show of the night and beat rival Nine’s efforts (992,000).

In the battle of the post-news current affairs shows, ACA had 860,000 and Ten’s The Project managed 506,000.

Seven’s other standouts were The Chase with 685,000 and Endless Summer: 30 Years Of Home And Away that pulled 605,000. Andrew Denton’s Interview still can’t find its feet, managing 448,000 last night.

Ten’s other show of note was Shark Tank that had 480,000 viewers invested in it.

Best for the ABC was its 7pm news bulletin with 758,000. 7.30 pulled 558,000, Foreign Correspondent managed a neat half-a-million and The Truth About Getting Fit had a sweaty 487,000 tune in.
