This year triple j’s Hottest 100 is partnering with Lifeline, a provider of crisis support and suicide prevention in Australia.
As 2020 comes to a close, triple j is taking a look back at the year in music. Despite its challenges, 2020 gave us a remarkable amount of memorable music, so join us as we celebrate the songs that connected us, got us dancing and you’ve had on repeat, in triple j’s Hottest 100 of 2020.
Every year, triple j gives listeners a chance to vote on the hottest songs of the year, which culminate in an epic countdown. It’s a chance for millions of people all over Australia and the world to come together, listen to their fave songs and debate about what ‘shoulda been higher’.
To have your say, submit your votes between Tues 8 Dec and Mon 18 Jan. Then join triple j on Sat 23 Jan as we count down the Hottest 100 songs of the year, as voted by you.
On Sun 24 Jan triple j will back it up with the songs that just missed out, the Hottest 200, followed by the Hottest 100 of 2000 on Double J on Mon 25 Jan. Plus we’ll even play the Hottest 100 videos on rage on Fri 29 Jan.
triple j x Lifeline
Suicide is the biggest killer of young Australians, accounting for over one-third of all deaths among 15-24s in 2019.
Lifeline receives over a million calls, text messages and web chats every year (that’s a call every 30 seconds), but currently can’t answer every call for help. That’s where you come in.
It costs Lifeline $39 to answer a call, the same price as a Hottest 100 x Lifeline t-shirt. Donate or buy a tee and you might save a life.
