Australia’s Transit Media solutions supplier, TorchMedia, has expanded its Sydney Light Rail advertising portfolio this month, with the rollout of a state-of-the-art digital advertising network at stations along the L1-Inner West (Central to Dulwich Hill) line.
Launch partners on the new network include investing platform Stake, Western Sydney University, and gift card provider Giftzzy. The digital network began rolling out in July, with 26 screens now live across 17 Light Rail stops in high-density locations from Sydney’s CBD to the Inner West.
On behalf of Stake, Cameron Roberts, director at Fourteen10 said, “We’re always looking for incremental reach opportunities, and the Inner West Light Rail is going to service a lot of ambitious Australian’s looking to build their wealth with Stake.”
Fiona Verghese, head of brand and marketing Australia and New Zealand, EPay Australia said, “We are excited to bring Giftzzy Card to Australia, offering consumers a smarter, more versatile gifting solution for every occasion. As one of the first brands to join this new network, we see it as a fantastic opportunity to introduce Giftzzy Card to local Sydney communities in a fresh, engaging, and highly visible way.”
On the advertiser opportunity, TorchMedia Head of Sales Aaron Morton said, “Sydney’s Inner West is known for its affluent audiences, diverse communities and rich culture. The ability to specifically target these valuable audiences is a win for advertisers.
“Combined with Parramatta Light Rail and the Sydney Metro, TorchMedia’s premium transport portfolio now provides both high-impact broadcast formats and localised hyper-targeted messaging across some Greater Sydney’s highest growth corridors.”
TorchMedia has represented advertising on the Sydney Light Rail since 2015. Its existing Sydney Light Rail offering spans exterior and interior formats on 76 Light Rail vehicles across the CBD South East and Inner West lines, including premium show-stopping Full Wraps available across the network. 16 dedicated light rail vehicles service the popular L1 Dulwich Hill line, with over 8 million trips taken in 2025 (Transport for NSW Open Data).
The line will interchange with the Sydney Metro at Dulwich Hill when construction is complete later this year.
