Qantas’ ‘Best Of Australia’ Ranked Ninth Best Airline Ad In The US

An ad showing what happens behind the scenes at an airport, via the journey of a teddy bear bag, was the top-rated airline commercial aired in the US last year, according to advertising analytics company, Ace Metrix.

The ad, from American airline Delta, achieved the highest Ace score at 670. Close behind it was Asiana Airline’s ‘Inspiring Experience’. Qantas managed to get in there, coming ninth for its ‘The Best of Australia’ ad.

The results come from Ace Metrix, who showed the ads to 500 people, says travel marketing industry site, Skift.

“Ace Metrix shows each ad to at least 500 consumers and measures watchability, meaning the engagement with each ad, and develops a persuasion score based on the ads’ desire, relevance, likability, attention, information and change.”

According to Ace Metrix the list is from nationally airing Airline ads analysed between January 1, 2014 and February 23, 2015.
