Time Reimagines Donald Trump For Latest Controversial Cover

Time magazine has unveiled yet another controversial Donald Trump cover, this time showing the president in the Oval Office being swamped by waves alongside the sole cover line “Stormy”.

The cover is the work of illustrator Tim O’Brien who has reimagined a previous Time cover he did from February that depicted Trump in a storm with the accompanying line: “Nothing to see here”.

The latest “Stormy” version is a clear nod to allegations of Trump’s alleged affair with the adult film star, Stormy Daniels.

Time also tweeted out its new cover with the line: “Donald Trump relied on Michael Cohen to weather the storm. Now the president is on his own.”

It refers to Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, who recently had his offices raided by the FBI and seized emails, documents and records, some of them related to a “hush money” payment to Daniels.

On his new cover design, Tim O’Brien said: “When I painted the ‘Nothing to See Here’ cover art, like many, I assumed the level of chaos could not last, that patriots on both sides of the aisle would step forward to control much of what transpired in the past year.

“As the never-ending flood of breaking news washed over the White House, and the firings, the scandals and the general mayhem filled each news cycle, I felt the storm metaphor was as relevant as ever. I mostly thought about how water would fill the space, how it would be transparent in some areas and reflective in others,” he said.
