Thursday TV Wrap: Two-Minute Noodle Challenge Sees MasterChef Top Entertainment, But Seven Takes The Night

On Thursday night’s MasterChef ep, the chefs were tasked with cooking with classic culinary staple two-minute-noodles.

Instead of serving them with a handful of shredded cheese and plenty of watery, dubiously beef-y ‘soup’ (as is the B&T preferred method), the chefs had to use the noodles to make something new.

To a bonafide two-minute-noodle lover, that feels slightly wrong, but it is, after all, MasterChef.

The episode netted 578,000 viewers, as per OzTAM’s metro data, and also featured Coke jelly and sriracha ice-cream.

Coming out on top overall was Seven News with 1,031,000 viewers, followed by Nine News with 951,000, A Current Affair with 720,000 and ABC News with 664,000.

Next was Seven’s The Chase with 575,000, while Home and Away and Home and Away Late peaked at 561,000 and 519,000 respectively.

For the ABC, 7.30 had 515,000 viewers, Foreign Correspondent had 429,000, Sammy J had 341,000 and Q+A had 319,000.

Nine’s Hot Seat had 479,000 while the NRL scored 334,000.

For 10, The Project had 416,000 and 10 News First had 379,000.

Finally, SBS’s top-performer was Robson Green: Walking Hadrian’s Wall with 202,000 viewers.

The Seven Network came out on top with 28.3 per cent of the daily share, followed by the Nine Network with 26.6 per cent. Network 10 was next with 19.5 per cent, while the ABC Network had 17 per cent. The SBS Network had eight-point-five per cent.
