Thursday TV Wrap: The Block Aside, News Dominates A Quiet Thursday

On a typically quiet Thursday, news dominated the night with news programs finishing in the top seven shows for the evening, according to OzTAM metro numbers.

Seven news came in at number one with 943,000 viewers. Meanwhile, Nine’s The Block was the top entertainment show for the night with a standard 748,000 eyeballs. Over at 10, The Project was the show of choice with 416,000 views. ABC’s best for the night was Scottish Vets Down Under with 373,000.

Nine won the night in primary channel share with 20.6 per cent, Seven followed on 17.1 per cent, ABC did 12.7 per cent, 10 did 9.0 per cent and SBS 3.9 per cent.

Here’s how the rest of the night ran.

Over at Seven,  Home and Away did 601,000, The Chase did 454,000 and Sunrise did 260,000.

Nine news did 832,000, ACA did 642,000, Hot Seat did 436,000, and a Paramedics encore did 399,000.

10’s 10 News First did 304,000.

Finally, ABC news did 681,000, and 7.30 did 601,000, Joanna Lumley’s Silk Road Adventure repeat did 359,000 and on ABC Kids, Bluey did 331,000.
