Thursday TV Wrap: The Bachelor Finale’s Winner Announcement Tops Entertainment

Thursday night saw 10’s The Bachelor finale top the entertainment ratings – at least, in the final decision portion of the episode.

Bachelor Jimmy’s finale decision peaked at 629,000 viewers, as per OzTAM’s metro data, while the rest of the grand finale peaked at 578,000.

Jimmy ultimately chose Holly Kingston, a marketing manager from New South Wales.

Sandwiched in the middle of the two parts was Seven’s Home and Away with 591,000 viewers.

On top overall was Seven News at 1,087,000 viewers, while Nine News had 1,033,000, A Current Affair had 734,000 and ABC News had 726,000.

The rest of the ABC’s night saw 7.30 nab 544,000 viewers, Foreign Correspondent 404,000 and Sammy J 362,000.

For Seven, The Chase had 534,000 viewers while Home and Away Late had 502,000, The Front Bar had 395,000 and The Lastest: Seven News had 335,000.

On Nine, Hot Seat scored 495,000 viewers and the Thursday night NRL had 362,000.

Finally, 10 had 485,000 viewers for The Project and 349,000 for 10 News First.

The Seven Network won the night wirth 31.3 per cent of the daily share, followed by the Nine Network with 25.7 per cent, then Network 10 with 19.6 per cent. Next was the ABC TV Network with 14.8 per cent, followed by the SBS Network with 8.6 per cent.
