Ah, Thursday nights. Rarely the bastion of wildly compelling telly, are they?
Last night’s top watched TV was firmly dominated by the news, with Seven News on top with 1,151,000 viewers, then Nine News with 1,058,000 viewers, ABC News with 742,000 viewers and A Current Affair with 694,000 according to OzTAM’s metro data.
Topping entertainment was Home and Away with 625,000 viewers and The Chase with 611,000, while Home and Away Late had 546,0000.
Also in entertainment was Hot Seat with 514,000 viewers, The Bachelor, scoring 487,000 viewers, as well as The Front Bar with 391,000, the NRL with 381,000 and Sammy J with 358,000.
Predictably, the rest of the night was news and current affairs. The ABC’s 7.30 netted 594,000 viewers and Foreign Correspondent had 443,000, while 10’s The Project had 529,000 viewers and 10 News First had 383,000.
The Nine Network continued Wednesday’s trend with another nightly win, scoring 28.1 per cent of the daily share. The Seven Network missed out by a mere hair’s breadth with 27.9 per cent, so the competition is still on.
Things were tight for third, with Network 10 at 18 per cent and the ABC TV Network at 17.5 per cent.
The SBS Network had 8.6 per cent.
