The last weeks have been undeniably dominated by Seven, but Thursday night saw another network close in on their top spot.
Bur first, the top TV programs: Seven News was number one overall with 1,156,000 viewers, followed by Nine News with 1,048,000. ABC News had 730,000 viewers and A Current Affair had 713,000 as per OzTAM’s metro data.
Coming out on top in entertainment was Home and Away, which had 605,000 viewers. The Chase had 574,000, while Home and Away – Late had 553,000. Also in entertainment was Hot Seeat at 506,000 viewers, The Bachelor with 412,000 and Sammy J with 363,000.
The rest of the ABC’s night saw 7.30 score 584,000 viewers and Foreign Correspondent score 458,000.
For Nine, the NRL had 373,000 viewers while Seven’s The Front Bar had 349,000.
Finally, for 10, The Project had 468,000 and 10 News First had 429,000.
While the Seven Network won the night overall, it was extremely close. It had 29.3 per cent of the daily share, just 1 per cent higher than the Nine Network’s 28.3 per cent. Things were decently close between the ABC TV Network and Network 10 too, with 10 comming in at 18.7 per cent of the share and the ABC at 16.7 per cent. The SBS Network had 7.1 per cent.
