Thursday night’s Home and Away double feature won entertainment, according to OzTAM’s metro data.
The standard episode had 599,000 viewers, while Home and Away – Late (alas, not a raunchy late night spin-off) had 552,000, putting them both on top of entertainment.
Gogglebox, which had been dominating Thursday nights, came third for entertainment after Home and Away with 529,000 viewers.
On top overall was Seven News with 1,048,000 viewers, followed by Nine News with 957,000. ABC News had 717,000, A Current Affair had 658,000, and 7.30 had 546,000.
Also on the ABC was Foreign Correspondent at 374,000 viewers. Nine had RBT with 484,000 viewers and Hot Seat with 432,000.
For Seven, The Chase had 525,000, The Front Bar had 510,000 and The Latest: Seven News had 471,000.
Finally, on 10, The Project had 441,000 viewers, 10 News First had 367,000 and Making It Australia had 347,000.
The Seven Network won the night with 30.6 per cent of the daily share, followed by the Nine Network with 26.3 per cent. In third was Network 10 with 19.8 per cent, followed by the ABC TV Network with 15.3 per cent and the SBS Network with 8.0 per cent.
Looking now to OzTAM’s Total TV report for Thursday September 16th, it was a very news-dominated night.
Seven News was the winner with 1,741,000 in their total TV audience (metro: 1,107,000, regional: 596,000, BVOD: 36,000).
Nine News was next with a total TV audience of 1,356,000 viewers (metro: 961,000, regional: 357,000, BVOD: 36,000), followed by ABC News with 1,151,000 total viewers (metro: 729,000, regional: 385,000, BVOD: 33,000).
Top in entertainment was Home and Away, which had a total TV audience of 1,127,000 viewers (metro: 585,000, regional: 356,000, BVOD: 137,000).
The program with the highest lift on overnight was Gogglebox at 24 per cent. It had a total TV audience of 1,023,000 (metro: 610,000, regional: 216,000, BVOD: 36,000).
