PwC-backed creative shop Thinkerbell has bolstered its PR offering with the appointment of Georgie Cavanagh.
Georgie has spent several years within traditional agency agencies such as Haystac and Bella PR, before becoming employee number one at social influencing agency TRIBE.
Georgie was also a columnist at The Herald Sun for a year.
Thinkerbell managing partner Margie Reid said of the appointment: “We are thrilled to have Georgie join our team.
“Georgie’s wonderful attitude and authentic enthusiasm for our industry means she has fantastic relationships, and an ability to make things happen.
“PR is an essential service our clients are asking for and Georgie will be able to spearhead our offering. PR supplements our creative and media offering.
“However, PR can be a very specialised offer, and we’ll continue to work with the wonderful PR agencies we collaborate with as the needs arise.”
Georgie Cavanagh added: “I’m really excited to be part of the Thinkerbell team, it’s been an amazing start. The types of projects we’re working on, and the clients, are excellent.
“I look forward to helping to grow our PR and earned media offering. The lines between what’s PR, advertising, social and so on have obviously blurred over the years, and the offering at Thinkerbell allows us to work across various mediums with as little friction as possible.”
Georgie is the first full-time Thinkerbell employee to be based in Sydney.
Thinkerbell chief thinker Adam Ferrier said: “Georgie is a legend.
“She’s great at understanding brand voice, and gets the ramifications of earned media, both positive and negative. Having her PR perspective adds another dimension to the thinking we offer.”
