Telstra has appointed Nicky Bryson to head of creative excellence.
Bryson has applied creative thinking across many contexts as an advisor, consultant and agency strategic leader. She’s led strategy at TBWA, M&C Saatchi and Leo Burnett; played a pivotal role in building PwC’s CMO Advisory practice; and later co-founded Sayers’ (now called Tenet Advisory & Investments) Brand & Customer consulting practice. Across these roles she has built strategies that have driven growth for the likes of Woolworths, Medibank, CommBank, Amazon, Myer and the ABC. She has also advised start-ups, scale-ups, and both State and Federal Government.
She also founded The Trenches, a mentoring program that has supported emerging creative talent through more than 1,500 sessions globally, and is an alumni of the leadership mentoring program, The Marketing Academy.
The change doesn’t impact Telstra’s agencies +61 and Bear Meets Eagle On Fire, they will still be working with Telstra, just with the added briefed help from Bryson.
Bryson replaces Anna Jackson as Telstra’s former head of creative excellence, who departed the telco earlier this year to join Westpac in a similar role.
She steps into the role in January of next year.
