Taylor Swift, Ryan Reynolds And Satan Destroy 2020 In Comedy Gem For Dating Site

We don’t need to tell you but 2020’s been a hell of a year.

And that’s the theme of a wonderfully clever spot for US dating site Match that suggests the global plague has made meeting and dating new people even more hellish than it normally is.

Called “Match made in hell”, the spot’s the work of none other than current golden boy Ryan Reynolds and his marketing-come-creative agency Maximum Effort.

Reynolds has even tapped good pal Taylor Swift who’s loaned her 2008 hit Love Story to provide the sickly sweet backing track to the oddball couple of Satan and 2020.

There are plenty of nods to the horrors of the year, including the loved-up couple stealing toilet rolls, working out in a COVID-spaced gym and watching a film in an empty cinema.

The squirrel getting zapped at the 35-second mark also provides one of those “I laughed but probably shouldn’t have” moments too.
