It’s getting down to the business end for 10’s MasterChef, however, the numbers show viewers aren’t exactly flooding in from the rival networks.
Last night, the veteran cooking show managed 967,000 which handed it the title for most-watched entertainment show of the evening.
Nine’s The Voice was a good 100,000 behind, it managed 866,000 according to OzTAM metro numbers.
Seven’s Big Brother was third and 701,000.
Nine won the night with 31.4 per cent of all of the eyeballs (all channels). Seven had 24.9 per cent, 10 did a neat 21 per cent, the ABC capped off a bad with with only 14.2 per cent and SBS managed 8.4 per cent.
In the battle of the 6pm news bulletins, Seven took the bragging rights and 1.184 million viewers. Nine’s version did 996,000 and 60 Minutes got as high as 632,000.
In the battle of the afternoon football codes, Seven’s AFL had 420,000 and Nine’s NRL did 275,000. However, again these are free-to-air numbers and don’t include paid subs such as Kayo etc or live streams.
Seven’s movie Captain America: Winter Soldier managed 277,000 viewers.
Other highlights for 10 included The Sunday Project (477,000) and 10 News First (301,000).
While the ABC’s Sunday ran this way: 7pm news (707,000), Grand Designs (490,000), Operation Buffalo (443,000), while Insiders did 314,000.
