If you’re no fan of Delta Goodrem then you’d definitely have wanted to stay away from last night’s television.
Not content with her judging duties on Nine’s The Voice, Goodrem also played the lead role in Seven’s Olivia Newton-John: Hopelessly Devoted to You.
And it was a convincing win for “Voice” Delta which pulled 885,000 viewers versus her disastrous portrayal of Olivia that managed a dismal 488,000 in its second and final outing.
Nine won Sunday night with 31.1 per cent audience share, Seven wasn’t far behind with 29.1 per cent. Ten dropped back below the 20 per cent mark, managing 18.9 per cent. The ABC had 15.1 per cent and SBS pulled 5.7 per cent.
In the battle of the 6pm news bulletins, Seven beat Nine 1.23 million and 1.13 million, respectively. Nine’s 60 Minutes had 777,000.
Seven’s struggling House Rules boasted one of its better evenings, pulling in 798,000.
Over at Ten, MasterChef was its best with 811,000, while the “up again, down again” Sunday Project was down again, pulling 472,000.
The ABC’s evening went thus: ABC News (786,000), The Queen’s Green Planet (654,000) and Agatha Christie’s Ordeal by Innocence (464,000). On a rather quiet night for SBS, its best was Treasures Coded which could only pull 193,000.
