Nine’s The Block was the standout show of Sunday night pulling 1.29 million viewers. However, it was disappointing numbers for Seven’s Hell’s Kitchen (544,000) and Ten’s Australian Survivor (622,000) that was arguably the biggest talking points.
Ten’s woes continued when it was beaten into fourth spot last night by the ABC according to overnight OzTAM figures.
Nine won the night with 35 per cent audience share on the back of The Block, its 6pm news bulletin (1.2 million) and 60 Minutes (869,000) which enjoyed a post-Block halo effect.
Seven was second with 27.3 per cent, the ABC third with 17.1 per cent, Ten could only muster 13.1 per cent and the SBS had 7.5 per cent.
Hell’s Kitchen would also be giving Seven bosses some real headaches as it’s now shed 273,000 viewers since launch and has fast descended into dumpsville territory.
Seven’s 6pm news managed 1.15 million viewers and the return of Sunday Night pulled in a respectable 790,000 for the network.
Survivor was the pick for Ten, however, it was all down hill from there with its news bulletin managing just 310,000, Modern Family had 274,000 and NCIS: New Orleans was 242,000.
On ABC it was the 7pm news bulletin (776,000), Poldark (551,000), Grand Designs New Zealand (531,000) and Death in Paradise (344,000).
Even the SBS could brag about two shows in last night’s top 20 with Titanic: The New Evidence (322,000) and Scotland: Rome’s Final Frontier (279,000).
