10’s MasterChef claimed bragging rights last night as the most-watched entertainment show of the evening posting 988,000 viewers according to OzTAM metro numbers.
Nine’s The Voice had to settle for second and 872,000. Seven’s Big Brother pulled a high of 751,000 but oddly dipped for the evening’s eviction that did 721,000.
Nine won the night by the narrowest of margins, taking home 28.5 per cent of all of last night’s eyeballs (all channels). Seven was oh-so-close with 28.3 per cent, 10 did 21.7 per cent, the ABC had 15.2 per cent and SBS mustered 6.3 per cent.
In the battle of the news programs, Seven’s 6pm bulletin was the most-watched show of the evening with 1.168 million viewers. Nine’s 6pm news did 1.018 million. ABC’s 7pm news had 708,000, while 60 Minutes plunged after last week’s high, it could only mange 561,000.
10’s other highlights inlcuded The Project with 501,000, FBI: Most Wanted with 383,000 and 10 News First with 338,000.
Over at Seven, Border Security did 336,000, Seven News At Five did 330,000 and the Captain America: First Avenger flick did 322,000.
Highlights for the ABC included Grand Designs (451,000) and Operation Buffalo (450,000).
