It was a tough night for Married At First Sight’s Alyssa last night, with the unsuspecting bride being ditched at the alter by this season’s heart-throb Duncan.

“I don’t want to hurt you and I don’t want to continue getting hurt, so I have to say goodbye,” the dashing groom told the American beauty amidst an idyllic woodland surrounding.

Whilst the fairytale was over for Alyssa, it continued for Nine. A total of 924,000 Aussies tuned in for the episode, making it once again the notorious winner for entertainment.

Meanwhile, last night was the final for Seven’s Australian Idol reboot. A total of 596,000 Aussies tuned in to see the winner crowned in the live episode, making it the most-watched episode of this season.

The show just nudged ahead of Network 10’s Australian Survivor which had 522,000 overnight metro views last night.

The ABCs Death In Paradise continued to hold a top ten spot with a total of 469,000 viewers tuning in to watch last night.

In sports, a total of 315,000 Aussies signed up to watch Seven’s AFL last night as the West Coast beat Greater Western Sydney.

Overall Nine won the night with a 33.6 per cent audience share, followed by Seven with 28.9 per cent, Network 10 with 15.6 per cent, the ABC with 14.8 per cent and SBS with 7.0 per cent.
