Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) has appointed experienced media industry leader Wade Kingsley to a new national leadership role as head of ideas and integration.
Kingsley will be charged with leading the Promotions, Response and Creative teams across the country. He will work with SCA head of content, Craig Bruce and national sales director, Andrea Ingham, to develop innovative integrated ideas for the benefit of listeners and clients.
Kingsley was most recently GM of media agency Vizeum, and was previously with DMG Radio (now Nova Entertainment) for over 15 years. He oversaw the highly successful launch of Nova 106.9 Brisbane as its promotions and marketing director, and held group leadership roles in digital, sales and programming.
SCA’s executive director metro operations, Guy Dobson said, “We’re thrilled to have Wade on board in this new role where we’ll see him take charge of developing great ideas for client solutions. We are confident Wade will bring new creative thinking across the full breadth of our media assets both on air and across our digital and social media platforms.”
Wade Kingsley said, “It’s an exciting time for me to join the hard working and dedicated team at SCA. They have many very talented practitioners of creativity on and off-air, and when I had a look around the market I knew that SCA had both the vision and commitment to be successful over the longer term. In media, there is no finish line. The battles are never won or lost each day or each individual ratings survey – they are ongoing. I look forward to leading the team to develop strategies that will be successful for our listeners, clients and shareholders over the long term.”
