Social media users have praised Network 10’s Bachelor in Paradise following last night’s episode, which showed female contestants Alex Nation and Brooke Blurton kissing.
Nation and Blurton’s date and subsequent kiss was applauded by viewers, who suggested it was a genuinely real LGBTQI moment aired “on one of the biggest shows in the country”.

The praise comes off the back of Network 10 having been previously critcised for “queer-baiting” in the past.
Last year, Network 10 was lambasted for running promos that implied a same-sex romance happened between contestants Megan Marx and Elora Murger.
In the promos, Marx was heard saying: “She’s absolutely gorgeous … she’s definitely my type of girl,” over footage of her kissing a long-haired brunette.
However, it turned out the long-haired brunette was actually a male contestant Thomas Perra, which lead viewers to blast Network 10 and the deceptive promo.
