In a sequel to his 19 Crimes Cali Red Wine, rapper Snoop Dogg has launched the Snoop Cali Rosé, the brands first Californian rosé.

19 Crimes’  wines share the stories of the convicts sent away from Britain in 1788, convicted of one of the 19 most serious crimes at the time. While some were killed in the voyage, those that survived became early colonists of Australia.

In a statement, Snoop Dogg said, “we did it big with 19 Crimes Cali Red, so you know we had to do it again – and this time, I was thinking pink.”

“I can’t wait for everyone to sip on my Snoop Cali Rosé and bring those fresh feels from spring into summer and beyond. I hope when you open a bottle of this wine you take a little mind trip to my Cali home. This is how we Rosé the Snoop Dogg way!”

The Snoop Cali Red was the number one selling wine innovation of 2020, according to the press release.

This new collaboration also includes an augmented reality experience.

‘Ask The Doggfather’ gives customers the chance to talk to Snoop Dogg directly by visiting the Ask The Doggfather website and scanning a QR code on the rosé bottle.

A miniature holographic Snoop Dogg will appear ready to offer sage advice and answer questions. It forms part of the 19 Crimes ‘Living Wine Label’ series, where customers can scan the bottle’s QR codes and hear the stories of the convicts depicted on the labels.

The wine retails for US$12.
