Snickers Latest Is About Hungry Workers Who Make Big Mistakes

Mars candy brand, Snickers, and agency BBDO New York have released two spots continuing the idea from its ‘live’ Super Bowl advert that your work suffers when you’re hungry.

For this year’s Sports Illustrated issue, Snickers put two ads – one on the back cover itself, and a second on the inside of the back cover – which showed terrible decisions made by editors of fictional magazines (i.e. a swimsuit-wearing guinea pig and chest of drawers).

The commercials are set in a hospital and in a TV news studio, where workers are suffering the deleterious effects of not eating a Snickers. The ads were directed by David Shane from production company, O Positive.

“Recovery Room” debuts on TV next week, while “The News” will launch later in the year.
Snickers continued the whole ‘you’re not you when you’re hungry’ during the Oscars, tweeting about two iconic moments from the ceremony (the giant ‘Best Picture’ stuff up and Nicole Kidman clapping):
