JW Marriott Auckland has appointed SHOWPONI to lead strategic public relations and integrated brand activity across New Zealand and Australia.

As JW Marriott Auckland’s strategic PR partner, SHOWPONI’s remit will include always-on media relations across New Zealand and Australia, seasonal campaigns, integrated brand activations, media hosting, strategic partnerships and collaborations, and an on-the-ground press office function.

Late last year JW Marriott Auckland was recognised as Best Luxury Hotel at the HM Awards (Hotel & Accommodation Excellence Awards). The property ‘s leadership was also recognised with general manager Girish Talreja named New Zealand General Manager of the Year, alongside accolades for revenue management and sales.

The recent opening of the New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC) in the city centre, alongside an expanded calendar of major sporting and entertainment events at Eden Park, is expected to further strengthen Auckland’s global appeal and drive increased international visitation, business events and economic activity across the region.

Against this backdrop, JW Marriott Auckland continues to play a key role in welcoming high-value leisure and corporate travellers, supporting the city’s reputation as a luxury and business destination in the Asia-Pacific region.
