Seven To Broadcast 2020 Oscars

From sunrise to primetime, Channel Seven is the new home of the Oscars with the 92nd Academy Awards set to air live, free and exclusive on Monday, February 10.

Nine has previously held the rights to broadcast the Academy Awards, including in 2016, 2017 and 2018.

Coverage of the awards event will start with Sunrise, the only Australian breakfast TV show to be broadcasting live from the red carpet.

The Oscars ceremony will be televised live (AEDT) on Seven from 12.00pm, with a primetime encore that night at 7.30pm on 7flix.

Oscars nominations were announced overnight with Joker leading the pack with 11 nods. Following closely behind were The Irishman1917 and Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood with 10 nominations apiece.

Australia’s Margot Robbie was nominated in the category of Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance in Bombshell, her second Oscar nomination.

The 2020 Oscars will be held at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood.
