Scooter, the Melbourne-based integrated creative and marketing agency, today announced the launch of Scooter Retail — a dedicated retail design and production division that completes the agency’s full-service offering alongside Scooter Marketing and Scooter Creative.
Joining the new division is a team of experienced industry professionals, each bringing deep expertise across retail, creative production, loyalty, and brand engagement.
Scooter Retail will deliver end-to-end retail design and production solutions spanning both seasonal and permanent point-of-sale (POS), helping brands show up powerfully where it matters most: at the moment of purchase. The launch signals a significant step in Scooter’s ambition to offer clients a truly integrated partner across brand, marketing, and retail.
“Retail is the ultimate test of a brand. It’s where strategy becomes shelf space, and creative becomes conversion. Scooter Retail gives our clients the specialist expertise to win at every touchpoint, from a flagship installation to a seasonal display, all connected to the brand thinking that drives the rest of their business,” said Anna Hodgson, CEO, Scooter.
Heading up the new division is Daniel Brodecky, a retail design leader with over 25 years of experience spanning retail design, industrial design, and international business.
Brodecky founded Popcorn Displays in 2007, growing it from an Australian operation into an international manufacturer and supplier of retail products, serving globally recognised brands including Beiersdorf, Acer, Kmart, Swisse Vitamins, and Penrite Oil.
Most recently he served as managing director of TAG Retail, where he led shopper strategy and retail design across the Australian market. A trained industrial designer with a Bachelor of Technology (Honours), Brodecky has worked across the UK, Germany, the USA, and China, bringing rare global perspective to the local retail landscape.
“Retail is where brands are truly won or lost. I’ve spent my career helping brands show up powerfully at the point of purchase, and joining Scooter means I can do that within a group that brings the full picture: brand strategy, creative, and now retail. It’s an incredibly exciting proposition for clients,” commented Brodecky.
Scooter has also announced several senior appointments across the wider agency.
Fay Hong joins Scooter as marketing manager with a strong background in retail marketing and loyalty. She spent nine years at MECCA Brands driving Beauty Loop, Australia’s most-loved loyalty program, developing deep expertise in how retail brands build lasting customer connection.
Ella Kempton joins Scooter as group business director, bringing extensive experience leading creative production for retail and consumer brands. Most recently creative services manager at Mustard, she is known for her end-to-end production discipline and collaborative leadership.
And Kate Higgins joins Scooter as group business director with over a decade of agency experience across retail and brand campaigns. Having risen to account director at Mustard, she brings strong client leadership and a proven ability to deliver work that performs at retail.
