Welcome to the numero uno GfK Metro Radio Survey for 2020! We know B&T readers have keenly been awaiting its arrival, so good news, it’s finally here.
As 2020 kicks off, where does the radio industry currently stand? Well, in perhaps unsurprising news, Alan Jones still reigns supreme with 2GB the number one breakfast spot, as 2GB remains in top spot overall.
However, ABC’s Wendy Harmer and Robbie Buck have flown past Kyle and Jackie O into the number two brekky spot, putting ARN’s radio duo in third place. In Melbourne 3AW’s Ross and John are still number one in brekky, while 3AW reigns overall.
And in case you’re wondering, Macquarie Sports Radio and its new music formats haven’t been included in this survey, due to the change of format mid survey.
B&T has created a sweet and snappy rundown for each of the metro markets for your convenience.
