Radio Ad Market Up To $60 Million This Month

It’s good news for radio industry with figures from Commercial Radio Australia and Deloitte showing ad spend is up 6.5 per cent from this time the year prior. The increase brings the total ad spend to $60.110 million.

All markets rose around the country – some more than others.

Brisbane increased 10.49 per cent to a total of $9.296 million this month. Melbourne was up 8.36 per cent to $18.930 million. Sydney jumped 5.40 per cent to $18.184 million. Adelaide was up 5.49 per cent to $5.613 million and Perth was up 1.26 per cent to $8.086 million.

“Radio advertising used alone or with other media consistently increases ROI and continues to provide a cost effective and quick to market option for advertisers,” said Joan Warner, CEO of industry body Commercial Radio Australia.
