Queensland Health has launched a sex-positive campaign endorsing masturbation, appropriately titled, “Give Yourself A Hand.”

Let’s face it masturbation has often been seen as a taboo topic, particularly for women.

In an effort to combat the stigma, Queensland Health has launched, “Give Yourself A Hand,” a campaign that aims to help ignite conversations about self-pleasure between young people.

The campaign is setting out to educate Australians about masturbation, aka it’s normal, healthy and natural! After all, masturbation is for everyone!

The campaign encourages Queenslanders and assumedly all Aussies to masturbate and highlights the benefits of making yourself feel good!

  • Masturbation releases endorphins that influence mental wellbeing.
  • Orgasms may help reduce menstrual cramping and speed up childbirth.
  • Masturbation can help promote a positive body image.

The pro masturbation campaign is hoping to destigmatise masturbation and point out its many benefits, like the fact that it is a form of safe sex!

“Give Yourself A Hand,” also highlights the correlation between masturbation and sexual pleasure, pointing out that masturbation has been found to help people become familiar with their own sexual responses. Exploring your own body often heightens your sexual experiences with a partner.

Basically, by making yourself orgasm you are benefiting your own health! Who can argue with that?
