Communications agency Creation has been appointed by Taronga Zoo to lead its PR activity for the Taronga Birthday Parade.
Creation will lead PR activities for Taronga Zoo’s centenary year birthday parade in Sydney on Saturday 15 October and will help raise awareness for Taronga’s commitment to preserve and protect ten critical animals over the next ten years.
“We are thrilled to have been given the opportunity to work alongside one of Sydney’s most famous organisations. Our work will commemorate Taronga Zoo’s first 100 years and help firmly position Taronga as champions and ambassadors of the wild .” said Ava Lawler, managing director, Creation.
Taronga Zoo Director of marketing and fundraising, Libby Hodgson, said: “It is so exciting to be working with Creation and collaborating to make the Taronga Birthday Parade a reality.
This parade will be the first of its kind in Sydney and we can’t wait to encourage all of Sydney to come along and stand up for the wild.”
On Saturday 15 October, the streets of Sydney are set to light up on with a spectacular parade to mark Taronga Zoo’s Centenary year, supported by presenting partner ANZ. The parade will recreate the historical moment in 1916, when the animals of Taronga Zoo moved from Moore Park to Mosman, and signifies Taronga’s commitment to preserving ten critical species for the future, both in Australia and Sumatra.
