Pollen Welcomes Sora Nobari As Client Services Director

Sydney agency Pollen has hired one of the industry’s most awarded digital talents, Sora Nobari, for the newly created role of Client Services Director to oversee new business growth. The appointment comes off the back of Pollen’s rapid growth over the last year.

Nobari brings over ten years’ experience to the role having worked at creative and digital agencies including R/GA, Pusher, BMF and most recently DDB, where she was Executive Producer.

“I’ve been keeping an eye on Pollen’s work for a few years so I know they have an amazing reputation for craft, user experience design, prototyping and product development. Pollen is also one of the few agencies working in the start-up space, which is another reason I was interested in the role,” said Nobari.

At Pollen, she reunites with Brett Mitchell, director at Pollen. The pair worked together creating award-winning campaigns for brands like Virgin Mobile and Cascade (Carlton United Brewery) back in 2009.

“A key part of Sora’s role is to help us grow our business further. Pollen is in growth phase – we’ve added six clients already this year, Sora is here to help us manage that growth and attract the right mix of clients and talent,” said Mitchell.

At DDB, Nobari contributed to the agency’s remarkable performance at Cannes this year, helping to win eight Lions for the Sydney Opera House #comeonin campaign, including a gold in Mobile.

She began her career as an animation and content producer, later moving into digital working with brands including Volkswagen, Schweppes, Lion Nathan, Sony Computer Entertainment, Commonwealth Bank and Telstra.

Since January 2016, Pollen has added new clients including City of Sydney, SBS, Simon Johnson, Colgate, Secure Parking and Pernod Ricard. Its partners recently travelled to New York to collect a Webby at the 2016 Webby Awards for Aesop’s Taxonomy of Design platform.

After developing and launching Prezzee, Australia’s first digital Gift Card Platform and mobile app, last December, Pollen is now working with two Australian start-ups to launch their products later this year.
