Pizza Hut Australia Appoints VMLY&R

VMLY&R has been appointed by Pizza Hut Australia as its creative agency.

The original pioneer of the delivery industry, Pizza Hut has experienced significant development and growth over the past 24 months, in line with an increasing consumer appetite for delivered meals, contactless options and ‘grab and go’ convenience.

It’s now the fastest-growing QSR in the country. VMLY&R’s task is to help build on this momentum in a new delivery landscape forever changed by COVID-19.

Adam Searle will lead the account in the newly created role of Creative Business Partner. “Our ambition is very clear: get Pizza Hut Australia right back to number one,” says PizzaHut’s Chief Executive Officer, Phil Reed.

VMLY&R’s first retail campaign for Pizza Hut, “Unreal Deals”, features the return of the iconic 90’s Pizza delivery poster boy, Dougie, played by actor Diarmid Heidenreich, who appeared in Pizza Hut’s advertising between 1993 and 1996.
