OMD Sydney has raised over $12,000 at their inaugural ‘Pyjamathon’ fundraiser for children’s charity The Pyjama Foundation. It is the most successful fundraising initiative for the charity to date.
‘Pyjamathon’ consisted of 16 teams from OMD, racing around Pyrmont completing challenges ranging from a donut eating competition, to pantyhose bowling.
“Not only was it a great team building day, it was amazing to see everyone in the office come together and raise money for such a worthy cause,” said Yvetter Mayer, managing director of OMD Sydney.
Deborah Scott-Ranson, national fundraising manager for The Pyjama Foundation said, “The OMD team have gone above and beyond with their 2017 Pyjama Day fundraising initiative. With over $12,000 raised to this point – and still counting, this is by far the biggest single Pyjama Day activity held for us – ever! We can’t thank the OMD team enough for their amazing support and willingness to get behind this event. The Pyjama Foundation are incredibly proud to have OMD supporting the work we do for children in care.”
Through its network of Pyjama Angels, the Pyjama Foundation empowers children in foster care with learning, life skills and confidence to change the direction of their life. OMD Sydney worked with the Pyjama Foundation in 2017 for its National Pyjama Day, raising over $2 million in media value over the last 2 years with help from its industry partners.
