The Kate, Tim & Joel drive show launches this Monday 14 September, 3pm to 6pm on the Nova Network.
Three of Australia’s most respected personalities, Kate Ritchie, Tim Blackwell and Joel Creasey will come together on the Nova Network to bring a conversational cheekiness to the drive shift. Joel Creasey will join Kate and Tim as the newest addition to Australia’s renowned drive show, with a combination of the day’s hot topics, the best of digital and online and their unique benchmarks and games.
Featuring the segments that listeners have grown to love over the past six years, including Monday’s Mailbag, The Wednesday Wheel and the highly competitive Quick Draw, the team and their new co-host Joel Creasey will continue to deliver everything their audience have come to expect and more.
Kate Ritchie said, “We’re all keen to get into the studio on Monday… Get Joel out of the house regularly, kick off the show and start making KTJ radio instead of just talking about it!”
Tim Blackwell said, “I’ve just told Joel to spend the time leading up to our first show listening to Cardi B’s WAP on repeat. If that doesn’t break him we’ll know he’s ready for the gig!”
Joel Creasey said, “Can’t wait to start Kate, Tim & Joel on Monday. Is there any research I should do? A book I should read? Is there an online masterclass I can sign up to? Just kidding. That sounds exhausting… I’m sure someone’s going to tell me… right?…”
Joel is one of Australia’s most popular and charmingly controversial comedians and presenters. He is a television staple on commercial networks and streaming platforms, Joel has co-hosted the Eurovision Song Contest for four years, hosted the dating phenomenon Take Me Out and is a regular on many popular TV shows including The Project. Joel was also unforgettable during his time on the first season of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, where he bitched and moaned his way into the finals. Soon to make his mark in radio, Joel will join Nova’s national drive show, weekdays across the country from 3pm to 6pm.
Nova’s Kate, Tim & Marty has been the number one drive show across Australia for 26 consecutive surveys, with an audience of over 1.5 million listeners a week. During their time on air, the team have won seven Australian Commercial Radio Awards (ACRA) – Best Networked Program in 2015, Best On Air Team in 2016 and 2017, Best Syndicated Australian Program and Best Networked Show in 2018, Kate Ritchie was also awarded an ACRA for Best Entertainment Presenter that year, and Best Networked Program and Best Syndicated Program in 2019.
