NOVA Entertainment has announced that Livinia Nixon will join smoothfm 91.5 as guest newsreader.
Nixon, who is a weather presenter for Nine News and a reporter for Getaway and Postcards, will fill in with Mike Perso, host of smoothfm’s More Music Breakfast Show, while news journalist Jennifer Hansen is on leave during the survey break.
NOVA Entertainment program director Ben Latimer said: “We are thrilled to have Livinia join the smoothfm family as guest newsreader. Her presenting style is a natural fit for us, and I love that Livinia already wakes up to Mike and Jen every morning.”
Commenting on her new role Nixon said: “Filling in for Jen Hansen will be great fun for me and combines two of my interests: news and awesome music. I’ve been listening to smoothfm for a long time and as a mum, I love introducing my boys to my kind of songs.”
Nixon will be heard on smoothfm’s More Music Breakfast Show from Monday 2 July to Friday 6 July. Nikole Gunn, NOVA Entertainment’s news journalist, will take over on weekdays from Monday 9 July.
Hansen will return to the studio with Perso on Monday 23 July.
