Nike Releases Futuristic Shoes That Lace Themselves Via An App

For those who are too lazy to tie their own shoes, Nike has answered your prayers by releasing a new model that do it for you.

The Nike Adapt BB sneakers come to life as soon as you slip your feet in, lighting up and adjusting to the shape of your trotters and activity at the touch of a button.

Electric adaptable reaction lacing is the technology that makes self-lacing shoes possible – electronically adjusting the lacing, pressure and fit of the shoe to the contours of your feet.

You pair your shoes with the Nike Adapt app to fine-tune your fit, switch between presets, customise the colour of the shoes’ lights, check battery levels and more – all from your smartphone.

Designed for athletes (in particular, basketballers) in mind, the shoes remember how tight or loose you prefer your footwear via the app – not just one setting, but in different situations like warm-ups, gameplay and while resting.
