Mutinex’s annual conference on marketing effectiveness, Marketers & Money 2026, will open with a day built for agencies, featuring Omnicom Oceania CEO Nick Garrett, Thinkerbell co-founder Adam Ferrier, Belong’s Josh Bailey and OMD’s Camilla Wallace.
Marketers & Money expands to two days this November after selling out in each of its first two years.
The forensic psychologist, the cool hunter, the co-founder of Naked and of course, Thinkerbell, Ferrier has spent his career working out why people do what they do. On 17 November, he brings his experience, Thinkerbell’s “measured magic”, and surely some provocation to where marketing science meets hardcore creativity.
Bailey, head of marketing & retail at telco Belong, and Wallace, business director at OMD, sit on either side of the client–agency relationship. They will talk through what has been hard and what has worked as their marketing is held to business outcomes, and how a brand and its agency build the plan together when every dollar has to show a return.
Garrett will close the day with a keynote on rebuilding Omnicom. As CEO of Omnicom Oceania, he leads the group’s agencies across Australia and New Zealand, and is reshaping them following Omnicom’s acquisition of IPG.
Garrett commented “Marketers & Money is where the outcomes community meets in Australia. I’m excited to talk more about how Omnicom is reshaping itself to drive more client outcomes, with such a stellar group of people.”
All four speak on Tuesday 17 November, in front of an invitation-only audience of agency leaders: the people building the work that marketing budgets pay for.
Marketers & Money runs 17 and 18 November at Showtime Events Centre on Melbourne’s South Wharf.
The first day is built for agencies, while the second brings together the marketers and finance leaders who set and defend marketing budgets, opening with a keynote from Professor Byron Sharp of the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute. Attendance is free but strictly by invitation.
Last year’s conference drew over 300 attendees, with standing room only for its keynotes.
The theme for 2026 is The Outcomes Era: what happens to marketing when investment decisions get made on evidence rather than habit. Mutinex CEO Henry Innis said agencies need to be at the centre of that conversation.
“More marketing decisions are now being made on outcomes, and agencies are the ones who have to deliver them. Nick, Adam, Josh and Camilla each bring a different view of what that takes, from how an agency group is built to the creative work and the client relationship. We wanted a day where agencies can have that conversation openly,” Innis said.
Registrations for 2026 are open. More speakers will be announced through October.
