Having stolen away its highly-prized Qantas magazine in March, now burgeoning custom publisher Medium Rare Content Agency has nicked another of Bauer Custom Media’s prized titles, today announcing it had been awarded the contract to supply publishing services to Foxtel for its monthly magazine.
Medium Rare is a dedicated content agency and is run by its operating partners Gerry Reynolds and Sally Wright and is a joint venture with NewsLifeMedia, the lifestyle arm of News Corp Australia.
Medium Rare’s publishing and advertising sales services will commence with the September 2015 issue of Foxtel magazine. The title is reportedly one of the most read print titles in the country and has a readership of 829,000 according to March 2015’s emma results. One in two subscribers reportedly read the title every day.
Foxtel’s General manager communications, Rhonda Dawson, said of the decision to appoint Medium Rare as publisher: “In Medium Rare we have chosen a partner who will help us evolve our publication in what is a very dynamic media environment.
“Foxtel is home to the best in entertainment from Australia and around the world, and our magazine plays an important role in keeping our loyal customers informed about the wide range of channels and programs, services and ground-breaking broadcasting innovations,” she said.
While Gerry Reynolds, managing director, Medium Rare, said: “We are delighted to be associated with one of Australia’s most progressive media companies. We very much look forward to offering Foxtel’s subscribers a better entertainment experience through inspiring and engaging content, and providing advertisers with opportunities to reach a highly engaged audience.”
