The A-League season is back, kicking off across a huge opening weekend on 10 and Paramount+.
The A-League Men gets underway on Friday, 16 October with one of Australian football’s fiercest rivalries, as Sydney FC takes on Western Sydney Wanderers in a blockbuster Sydney Derby at Allianz Stadium.
The opening clash will be broadcast live from 7.00pm AEDT on 10 and will stream on Paramount+, launching a massive weekend of A-League action.
To garner some attention around the start of the competition, 10 launched a funny cheese rolling rendition video. Titled ‘Let The Football Begin!’ the video depicts all 12 A-League teams tumbling down the hill chasing a football.
Saturday brings a triple-header exclusive to Paramount+, beginning across the Tasman as Auckland FC hosts Melbourne City at Go Media Stadium, before Macarthur FC meets Perth Glory and the Central Coast Mariners take on local rivals Newcastle Jets.
The opening men’s round continues Sunday when Wellington Phoenix welcomes Melbourne Victory to Wellington.
The Ninja A-League Women also return on Saturday, 17 October, with Newcastle Jets taking on Perth Glory, Western Sydney Wanderers facing Melbourne Victory and Brisbane Roar hosting Central Coast Mariners.
Sunday brings more women’s football action, with Wellington Phoenix meeting Melbourne City before Sydney FC and Adelaide United round out the opening weekend.
With rivalries reignited, fresh ambitions and a new season of drama ahead, fans can catch all the action across 10 and Paramount+.
