Nespresso is reimagining how Australians connect over their morning coffee with the continuation of its ‘Happy Hour’ activation. This series of sunrise pop ups seeks to elevate the morning iced coffee moment for early risers by bringing together run clubs, live DJ sets and freshly brewed Nespresso coffee in iconic locations across the country.
Building on the success of Nespresso’s Happy Hour activations in Bondi and Collingwood earlier this year, this campaign takes a taste of the morning rave experience on the road in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane with a new NespressoGo sampling van developed in partnership with Banter and a sleek DJ booth by Alfred in tow, merging the coffee hub with a mobile stage.
A cultural shift: mornings are the new nights
Michelle Katz, head of marketing, Nespresso Oceania said Nespresso is committed to delivering elevated coffee experiences, and NespressoGo is one way the brand will connect with younger coffee drinkers in a way that is meaningful.
“Gen Z and Millennials are increasingly early mornings as a time for connection, wellness, and creativity, and coffee is at the heart of that movement. With Nespresso Happy Hour and our new NespressoGo van, we’re tapping into this evolving cultural rhythm by creating energising, social coffee moments that can now meet coffee lovers wherever they are,” she said.
Each activation will combine three cultural pillars—running, coffee, and club membership—to create mornings worth sharing.
- Sydney: Unofficial Run Club – a growing community running group that embodies inclusivity and energy.
- Melbourne: Run the Tan – an inclusive running community centred around Melbourne’s iconic Tan Track, supporting mental health through movement and connection.
- Brisbane: SoSo’s Run Club – founded in 2023, attracting 100+ runners weekly for coffee, chats and connection.
Soundtracking the movement, some of Australia’s most exciting DJs will deliver sunrise sets to energise the crowds and set the mood for the perfect morning post-run. In Sydney, Ebony Boadu, celebrated tastemaker and former triple j host, will bring her exuberant energy and dynamic sets to the stage. Melbourne will feature Soju Gang, a multidisciplinary artist and key figure in Naarm’s nightlife scene, known for her chameleon-like range and commitment to community connection. Brisbane’s line-up will be announced soon.
Locations:
Sydney: Bennelong Lawn – Sitting above the Opera House forecourt with sweeping views of Sydney Harbour, this backdrop blends community connection with one of the city’s most recognisable settings.
Melbourne: St Kilda Lifesaving Club – A coastal landmark since 1914, St Kilda’s beachfront setting captures Melbourne’s love of community and culture, offering the perfect space for the ICONIC van. Event happening October 10, 2025.
Brisbane: Reddacliff Place – A bustling CBD plaza at the top of Queen Street Mall, known for its markets and high foot traffic. Event happening 25th October 2025
