The Monkeys Create Video Clip for Seafolly x Panama

Creative agency, The Monkeys was approached by Seafolly to launch its Summer 2014 collection and they’ve delivered a unique brand story that aims to transcend the fashion season.

The Monkeys’ idea for a music video collaboration brought together Future Classic band Panama and Sia ‘Chandelier’ director Daniel Askill and the result is a mesmerising ode to the beauty of an Australian summer.

The story follows a group of girls living in the Northern Hemisphere who are suddenly drawn into the water, where they make a magical underwater migration back to a secluded Australian beach.

Justin Drape, creative director on the project and co-founder of The Monkeys, says: “We’ve worked with the team at Future Classic before so we were fortunate to hear a demo of Panama’s new song, ‘Stay Forever’, and we thought it was perfect for Seafolly.”

“Then Daniel (Askill) took the idea, narrative and style of the story to another level. We wanted to create something that was completely different to what the brand had done before and I think this music video will appeal to audiences in markets beyond Australia,” he added.

Nathan McLay, founder of Future Classic, says: “We’re always open to collaboration opportunities that create visibility for our artists in a credible context. This was a pleasure to work on.”

‘Stay Forever’ is now available on iTunes. The release of the single follows Panama’s debut Northern Hemisphere tour through America and Europe.
